Content Writer (Contract)

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented content professional to join a dynamic content and social marketing team focused on producing high-quality, search-optimized written content. In this role, you will create and manage a variety of content assets — including evergreen blogs, FAQs, case studies, landing pages, emails, and white papers — designed to help customers discover advertising solutions through organic and AI-powered search experiences. You will balance strong editorial standards with SEO and GEO best practices to drive qualified traffic, engagement, and discoverability across modern search environments. This is a fully remote, staff augmentation role following a standard Monday through Friday, 40-hour weekly schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
Create and edit optimized, educational content such as evergreen blogs, FAQs, and case studies targeting high-intent search queries
Conduct and apply SEO/GEO research, keyword research, and topic clustering to identify opportunities for net-new and refreshed performance-focused content
Structure content for organic and AI-driven search discovery to maximize visibility and engagement
Support additional campaign efforts and one-off requests by creating and editing blogs, emails, and other content formats as needed
Improve content quality, clarity, and scalability by surfacing new formats and content use cases and leveraging modern AI tooling
Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with brand and accessibility standards across all deliverables
Apply writing best practices tailored to different audiences, products, and programs
Collaborate cross-functionally with social and content teams, subject matter experts, and SEO stakeholders to ensure content continuity, review, and approval workflows
Review SEO/GEO opportunities daily, draft or refresh evergreen content, and track content opportunities based on performance insights
Requirements:
2–4+ years of experience in SEO/GEO-driven content strategy and execution
2–4+ years of experience with keyword research, search-intent mapping, and topic clustering
2–4+ years of experience writing and optimizing long-form educational B2B content
Experience writing for advertising industry products or B2B technology strongly preferred
Proven portfolio of long-form, educational content demonstrating versatility across digital, social, web, and campaign formats
Demonstrated ability to create content that maps to search and AI answer intent
Strong command of SEO and GEO content strategy and execution principles
Proficiency in keyword research, search-intent mapping, and topic clustering
Excellent long-form educational B2B content writing and optimization abilities
Solid understanding of how to structure content for both organic and AI-powered search discovery
Ability to write effectively for diverse audiences, products, and program contexts
Familiarity with modern AI writing and content tooling to improve efficiency and scalability
Strong editorial judgment with a keen eye for quality, clarity, and brand consistency
Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing external writers and reviewing third-party content submissions

Pay Range*: $29 - $33 per hour
Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
