Position Summary:
We are seeking a General Construction Superintendent to run day-to-day field operations on a commercial project in Windsor, CT. This role is subcontractor-facing — you'll coordinate and hold accountable the trade subs (concrete, framing, MEP, finishes, etc.) to keep the job on schedule, on budget, and on spec through closeout.
You'll own:
- Coordinating and sequencing all subcontractor trades on-site, resolving scheduling conflicts between crews
- Enforcing subcontractor compliance with contract scope, schedule, and quality standards
- Daily/weekly progress tracking and reporting to the Project Manager
- Managing RFIs, submittals, and coordination with the design team on field questions
- Site safety compliance across all trades and phases
- Punch list management, inspections coordination, and final owner/client walkthrough and sign-off
- Material and delivery coordination to keep subs unblocked
Requirements:
- 3–5 years in commercial construction supervision, including subcontractor management
- Experience running vertical/general building projects (not just civil/earthwork)
- Comfortable with scheduling tools (MS Project, Procore, or similar)
- Strong communication skills — this role is mostly about coordinating people, not equipment
- Degree in construction management/civil engineering preferred, or equivalent field experience
