A.J. Myers & Sons is seeking an organized and ambitious professional for our Office Assistant / Terminal Manager In-Training position at our Munhall location. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to change on the fly.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Shadow the current Terminal Manager to learn District and company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Terminal Manager to ensure school routes and event trips are covered in a safe, timely and efficient manner
- Effectively communicate with drivers, office staff and mechanics
- Investigate and resolve any district or customer complaints
- Keep company compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
- Ensure employees follow all safety and company guidelines
- Payroll and other back office paperwork
Requirements:
-2+ years in transportation (school/student transportation a plus)
- 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA transportation rules and regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions to improve terminal efficiency
