Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of all inbound and outbound shipments within our warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with shipping and receiving procedures, and proficiency in operating various material handling equipment. Your expertise will directly support seamless warehouse distribution, timely order fulfillment, and overall operational excellence.

Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments by inspecting, verifying, and documenting all deliveries using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling orders in accordance with customer specifications.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely to load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Maintain organized stock areas through proper stocking practices and inventory management to support order picking and fulfillment..
- Assist with order picking using RF scanners and order pickers to fulfill e-commerce orders promptly.
- Ensure proper packaging standards are met to protect products during transit while optimizing space utilization.
- Support stock replenishment activities by managing inventory levels within the warehouse distribution center.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping deadlines while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and shipment documentation as needed.
- Drive and deliver packages within a 25 mile radius to our customers
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or distribution centers is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Knowledge of order fulfillment processes including picking & packing for e-commerce platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately for inventory counts and shipment documentation.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and proper equipment handling techniques.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Qualifications:
- Basic math and organization skills.
- A clean driving record and ability to drive to our customers for pickup and delivery.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to problem solve independently and troubleshoot as required.
- Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds or more, and work on feet for long hours.
- Understanding of safety protocols and requirements.
- Be adaptable within a fast-paced, changing work environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Relevant experience preferred, but not required
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
