Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently.
- Carry out routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements.
- Repair or replace components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repairs needed, estimated timeframes, and service recommendations to enhance customer experience.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), vehicle schematics, and automotive electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with auto estimating software and familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge covering powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and general vehicle maintenance.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices essential for efficient repairs.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for precise troubleshooting.
- Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; relevant certifications in automotive diagnostics or electrical systems are advantageous.
