The Counter Attendant is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and professional service to guests while supporting the daily operations of the counter-service area. This position ensures orders are taken accurately, food and beverages are prepared and presented according to established standards, and the service area remains clean, organized, and properly stocked.

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service.

Take guest orders accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

Answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, prices, and available options.

Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes, presentation standards, and portion guidelines.

Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and presented in a timely manner.

Communicate special requests, allergies, and dietary restrictions to the appropriate team members.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary counter and service area at all times.

Restock food, beverages, supplies, utensils, and other service items as needed.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.

Monitor product quality and notify management of any concerns.

Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and securing the service area.

Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.

Maintain professional appearance and follow grooming and uniform standards.

Address guest concerns professionally and notify a manager when additional assistance or service recovery is needed.

Work collaboratively with kitchen, service, and management teams to ensure a smooth operation.

Previous experience in a restaurant, café, hotel, or customer-service environment preferred.
