This listing is for a lodging entity in Wimberley, Texas. This is a key role that ensures the property runs smoothly and guests are happy. In addition to being friendly, flexible, and well-spoken, the job involves a wide range of maintenance and guest service duties:
- General Maintenance & Repairs -
- Handle routine repairs and upkeep around guest rooms, facilities, and resort grounds, such as fixing light fixtures, plumbing issues, and basic carpentry tasks.
- Address minor emergencies as needed, including troubleshooting HVAC systems, window units, electrical issues, or other equipment.
- Daily Checklists & Groundskeeping -
- Complete daily and annual maintenance checklists before, during, and after guest occupancy to ensure everything functions properly and the property appears inviting.
- Maintain lawns and common areas - mowing, trimming, raking, planting, and keeping all spaces tidy and safe.
- Checking trash daily.
- Resort Amenity Care -
- Clean and maintain resort amenities, including the pool, the sports court, and common spaces.
- Test chemical levels and monitor the safety of the pool.
- Safety & Security -
- Stay aware of surroundings at all times for the general safety and security of guests and staff, reporting hazards or suspicious activity.
- Ensure all walkways and public areas are free of hazards like debris, snow/ice (seasonally), or damage.
- Guest Interaction & Teamwork -
- Provide excellent customer service to guests, responding to maintenance requests with a positive attitude and professionalism.
- Work with the Operations Manager and other maintenance staff and assist with projects as needed.
- Workdays & Schedule -
- Current workdays: Sunday through Thursday
- Schedule may vary throughout the year based on property needs
- Availability during weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings is required
- Please note: While these are the typical hours, we expect team members to complete any necessary tasks that require attention before leaving, even if this extends beyond scheduled shifts.
- Additional Responsibilities -
- Setting up/putting up kayak and paddleboard rentals
- May operate vehicles and equipment for maintenance tasks, snow/leaf removal, weed eaters, and riding mowers.
- Responsible for the safe operation of hand and power tools and for adhering to all safety protocols.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work both independently and as part of the team.
- Qualifications -
- Experience in resort, hotel, or property maintenance is preferred but not required - we’re happy to train the right individual.
- Must pass a background check and provide references.
- Basic technology proficiency for reporting and communication.
- A valid driver’s license is required for resort maintenance roles.
