Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Animal Care Receptionist to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal welfare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all visitors. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and coordinate with veterinary staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations.
- Collect payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
- Ensure compliance with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations and USDA guidelines related to medication handling and record-keeping.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding pet care instructions, vaccination schedules, and post-operative care.
Requirements
- Prior experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal care facilities preferred.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and companion animal medicine essential for effective communication.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing appointments, records, and compliance documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills capable of engaging with diverse clients while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
