Thelma B. Pittman Jupiter Preschool is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 1 to 3 years old.
The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities, supporting children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. Candidates must work well with children, families, and fellow staff members while ensuring compliance with all licensing and safety requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
- Supervise and engage children throughout the day.
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Assist children with daily routines, including meals, diapering, toileting, and rest time.
- Promote children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Follow all state licensing regulations and preschool policies.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- DCF 45-hour training completed or willingness to complete required training.
- Previous childcare or preschool experience preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young children.
