JOB SUMMARY: The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all equipment, machinery, electrical control systems, hydraulics, conveyors and other components of our facility and ranches. You will be able to troubleshoot, repair, fabricate and rebuild all production and associated machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (but are not limited to):

Maintain and repair all support equipment: including but not limited to, air-compressors, gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, starters fuses, pumps, valves, etc

Perform preventative maintenance all equipment and cooler machinery

Complete daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of processing equipment

Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical faults, PLC’s, VFD's and valves, DC and AC systems

Handle hazardous materials, such as chlorine, biocide and oil, safely under the direction of the Refrigeration Manager

Respond and repair emergency breakdowns of facility equipment.

Participate in all regulatory audits (Mechanical Integrity, RMP, PSM, CalARP)

Perform other maintenance duties such as painting, plumbing, replacing valves, installing fixtures, and repairing leaks as needed

Ensure safe and proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems.

Repair and install electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity.

Understand and maintain equipment documentation such as P&ID’’s, schematics, line diagrams, technical manuals, operation manuals and serve as the facility technical resource.

Complete work orders in a timely manner maintaining high quality standards

Become a member of the emergency team (EAP)

Work with outside contractors to accomplish assigned task

Other duties and special projects as assigned.

WORK HOURS: Day shift, Monday- Friday. Some Saturdays or Sundays and overtime as needed with or without prior notice.

2 years minimum experience in fabrication, equipment/industrial maintenance

Knowledge and experience with electrical troubleshooting control systems is a plus.

Strong ability to analyze and think strategically.

Must have thorough knowledge of industrial maintenance.

Must be detailed-oriented and deadline sensitive.

Strong knowledge in GMPS, LOTO
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
-
This position requires a minimum of two years’ experience in equipment/industrial maintenance
-
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, policies, procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, and fractions.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Works under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager/ and/or Maintenance Manager Supervisor.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:
Valid California Drivers License/Class C
