We are seeking a Full-Time Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team!
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role is crucial in ensuring patient comfort and safety at our surgery center.
This position includes duties such as:
- Accompanies patients to patient care area.
- Instructs patients on preparing and changing for the procedure.
- Connects patients to vital signs machines and report any abnormalities to admitting nurse.
- Support the nursing team in providing care to patients during their stay.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Helps in running urine pregnancy tests and blood glucose tests.
- Efficiently maintain supply stock, ensure supplies are available as needed, and assist with managing inventory for the ASC.
Hours:
- 5 shifts (38-40 hours) per week, depending on operating schedule
- Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday
- No Holidays, No Weekends, No Call
Requirements
- BLS (CPR) certification
- Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Skills:
- Multilingual (Spanish preferred)
