What You'll Do
As a Medication Aide / CMT / Med Tech, you will:
- Safely administer medications according to physician orders, state regulations, and community policies
- Accurately document medication administration and resident care
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility, and personal care
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the nursing team
- Support resident independence while providing compassionate, person-centered care
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming community environment
- Participate in resident engagement and daily community activities as needed
Qualifications
✔ Active Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification required
✔ Minimum 6 months of Medication Aide/Med Tech experience required
✔ Previous experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, or Memory Care preferred
✔ High school diploma or GED
✔ Must be at least 18 years old
✔ CPR and First Aid certification preferred
✔ Experience caring for residents with dementia is a plus
✔ Ability to successfully complete required background screening
