Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate mental health therapist to join our mental health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality outpatient psychotherapy services to diverse client populations. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to promote mental wellness and resilience. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
- Provide individual therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and art therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management techniques to ensure client safety during emergencies.
- Deliver specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management and coordinate care plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote therapy sessions, ensuring accessibility for clients with mobility or transportation challenges.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing to foster client engagement and facilitate behavior change.
- Strong background in child & family counseling, pediatrics, geriatrics, and working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Skilled in crisis management, crisis intervention, behavior management, and social work practices within outpatient settings.
- Experience with medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling; adept at medical documentation standards under HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to conduct research and data collection for clinical research projects or quality improvement initiatives.
- Competent in handling inpatient/outpatient transitions and providing direct support during acute episodes or chronic pain counseling.
- Familiarity with telehealth technology platforms to deliver effective remote patient care while maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards. Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
