Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team immediately. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, developing engaging lesson plans, and supporting the academic and social growth of elementary students. Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, and science.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports social-emotional development.
- Incorporate various teaching strategies including technology integration, and differentiated instruction to meet individual learning styles.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and ongoing assessments.
- Provide tier II support for students who require extra help, including those with special needs or on the autism spectrum.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and coordinate interventions such as early intervention programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents while ensuring compliance with school policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, behavior management, and innovative teaching techniques.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and committees to foster a collaborative educational environment.
Requirements
- Valid teaching certification or license for elementary education.
- Proven classroom experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and standardized testing procedures.
- Experience working with diverse learners including children with autism or special needs; familiarity with early childhood education theories such as Montessori or early intervention practices is preferred.
- Proficiency in learning technology tools and educational software to enhance classroom engagement.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and implement behavior management strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor students academically and socially while fostering a supportive learning environment. Pay: $56,810.00 - $69,914.00 per year
