Position Summary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, including account reconciliations, invoice processing, payment administration, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of accounting experience and strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting software platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly and ongoing account reconciliations, including bank, vendor, and balance sheet accounts.
- Record and process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage accounts payable activities, including payment scheduling and execution.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and reconciliation issues.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting requirements.
- Monitor outstanding payables and ensure adherence to payment terms.
- Support audit requests and provide required financial documentation.
- Utilize accounting and ERP systems to record, track, and reconcile transactions.
- Contribute to process improvements and strengthen accounting controls.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with account reconciliations, invoice processing and month end closing.
- Experience managing payments and accounts payable functions.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. Odoo, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Quickbooks, or similar).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA (or working toward CPA), MBA a plus
Salary range estimated and dependent on experience: $50,000 - $65,000
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
