The pay is hourly plus commission and is paid thru a W-2. We provide top of the line tools and equipment, plus the sharpening and maintanece fees. We also provide a receptionist and bathers so you can focus all your energy on grooming.
Duties
- Perform professional grooming services including trimming, styling, and de-matting for dogs. We provide dedicated bathers so you don't need to!
- Handle animals with care, compassion and respect ensuring their safety and comfort through effective restraint techniques.
- Utilize your knowledge of dog handling to manage pets of different temperaments confidently and compassionately.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions.
- Assist with pet care routines such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat conditioning to promote overall pet health.
Skills
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work patiently with pets of all sizes and temperaments.
- Experience in pet grooming techniques including bathing, clipping, styling, and breed-specific cuts.
- Knowledge of effective dog handling practices.
- Availability to work Monday thru Friday dayshift, no weekends.
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely during grooming.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and address their concerns.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing detailed grooming tasks.
- Working as a team and getting along with other employees, no gossiping
