About the Opportunity
A well-established manufacturer is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee daily operations within a fast-paced production environment. Primary Responsibilities
- Direct and support the day-to-day activities of a manufacturing team to ensure production schedules are achieved.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees while promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Monitor key production metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives by reducing waste, improving workflow, and enhancing productivity.
- Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance, Shipping, and Materials teams to resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively.
- Lead daily production meetings, communicate priorities, and ensure expectations are clearly understood across all shifts.
- Promote a safe workplace by reinforcing company policies, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Participate in investigations involving quality concerns, equipment downtime, or process inefficiencies, and help develop long-term solutions.
- Support employee training, cross-training, and ongoing development to strengthen overall team performance.
- Encourage a positive, respectful workplace built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, 5S, standard work, and continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Comfortable working with production software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interpret production documentation, work instructions, and safety requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or post-secondary education is considered an asset.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
