Baptist Health is seeking to add an energetic and dynamic Medical Assistant (MA) for our Baptist MD Anderson Radiation Oncology Clinic at Baptist South, located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time Days position with shifts Monday-Friday from 8-5 p.m.

Responsibilities of a Medical Assistant include:

Providing nursing assistance to the physician and APP.

Obtaining vital signs, weights, and heights.
-
Greeting and chaperoning patients as needed during medical visits.

Documenting in the medical record as indicated per role. Responsible for sending treatment start and stop letters to referring physicians.

Conducting HCG tests as needed, processing requests, referrals, and helping with FMLA paperwork.

Cross training with the Medical Records Coordinator and assisting as and where needed.

Floating/rotating between clinics as needed.
Medical Assistant Experience:
- Less than 1 year of Medical Training Program

Less than 1 year of Immunization Experience
-
1-2 years of Administrative Assistant Experience
-
1-2 years of Medical Office Experience
-
2 Years of Patient Care Experience
-
2 Years of Medical Assistant Experience
-
3-5 years of experience working in a Medical Office
Education & Credential Requirements:
High School Diploma Required
Basic Life Support (AHA) Required
Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
