Veterinary Assistant/Technician
Clarkston Veterinary Clinic is hiring for a small animal veterinary assistant or certified technician. Expierence is prefered but willing to train the right person. This position has options for part time or full time. Starting pay is $17.50-$23 per hour. Rotating Saturday schedules until noon, as well as scheduled pick up and drop off times Saturday evening and Sunday are required. Position does not require any on call hours.
Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs, have great people skills, must be reliable, respectful, willing to learn, hardworking, team building, organized and able to multitask.

Duties include but not limited to:
Checking in on patients
Assisting doctor (surgically and clinically)
Venipuncture
Monitoring patients
Ability to check patient Vital signs
Administration of medications/vaccinations
Appropriate handling of animals
Computerized medical charting
Laboratory test and procedures
Radiography
Client communication and education
