Cablecraft is seeking an experienced CNC Set-Up and Operator to join our team in New Haven, IN. This is a union position on our 2nd shift. All 2nd shift positions will train on 1st shift.
About this Role:
In this position, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC lathes, machining centers, and mill drill machines to meet production targets and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail- oriented, mechanically skilled, and able to work independently within a fast- paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, machining centers, and mill drill machines.
- Perform machine offsets, adjustments, and basic programming edits as needed.
- Diagnose mechanical or operational machine issues and make minor adjustments and repairs.
- Verify part quality using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Maintain accurate documentation of setups, productions output, and quality checks.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Four (4) years of CNC machine set-up and operating experience required.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Must have all required hand tools.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
This is a 2nd shift position Monday through Friday from 3:00pm- 11:00pm
Labor Grade: 15E
Compensation and benefits are consistent with the collective bargaining agreement.
