Willamette Valley Animal Hospital of Clackamas is looking for the next great member of our team. We currently have an opening for a full time veterinary receptionist/assistant at our Clackamas-based hospital. The purpose of this position is to provide outstanding client service.
Receptionist/assistant responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Be capable of working on their own with minimal supervision and a positive attitude
- Have exceptional time management skills
- Answer multi-line phones and respond to inquiries
- Handle walk-in clients
- Differentiates between routine and emergency cases
- Greet clients
- Provide information about our services, prices, and hours of operation
- Schedule visits
- Make referrals
- Process prescription and records requests
- Admit and discharge patients
- Process payments
- Manage financial information
- Adequately communicate information between clients and staff
- Provide client education on proper pet care.
- Data entry on a web-based Practice Information Management System
- Obtain a brief medical history
- Be familiar with basic medical terminology.
- Be proficient in Google docs and Gmail
- Some animal restraint
- Assisting with animal care
