Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Spray Foam Insulation Technician to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing high-quality spray foam insulation in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will help improve energy efficiency, comfort, and durability of structures while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Duties
- Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers to ensure secure access and compliance with safety protocols.
- Mix and apply spray foam insulation using specialized equipment, ensuring even coverage according to blueprint specifications and technical drawings.
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately follow installation plans.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely to cut, shape, and install insulation materials.
- Measure spaces accurately using basic math skills to determine the correct amount of insulation needed for each project.
- Follow all safety procedures related to power tool operation, ladder use, and working at heights to prevent accidents.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress, site conditions, and technical requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Assist with other construction tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, or masonry as needed to support project completion.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or working on construction sites is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building insulation installation techniques and materials.
- Hands-on experience with power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and safety protocols for construction environments.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems, roofing, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, plastering or stucco work is a plus.
- Ability to climb ladders confidently and work at heights safely for extended periods.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with good hand-eye coordination for precise installation tasks.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines diligently while working on active construction sites.
