Soccer Coach (Adult Team) – Meadowlands FC
Meadowlands FC is seeking an experienced, motivated Soccer Coach to lead and develop our adult competitive team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about coaching, team building, and helping players perform at a high level while maintaining a positive and organized team environment.
This paid position offers an opportunity to grow with the club, build a competitive program, and make a meaningful impact on team success. Estimated commitment is approximately 6 hours per week.
Overview
Are you passionate about coaching competitive adult athletes and building a strong, disciplined team culture? We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Soccer Coach to lead training sessions, manage match-day performance, and develop a cohesive and successful squad.
In this role, you will create a structured and competitive environment that emphasizes teamwork, communication, and performance. Your leadership will directly influence team development, results, and overall club growth.
Compensation:
- Up to $600/month
- Equivalent to approximately $22–$25/hour based on ~6 hours/week average commitment
- Performance-based bonus opportunities for successful seasons
Schedule
- Training: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:00–10:00 PM (Secaucus, NJ)
- Games: Sundays (variable times and locations across Northern New Jersey)
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead structured, high-quality training sessions twice per week
- Develop team tactics, formations, and match strategy
- Coach and manage team performance during Sunday matches
- Create a competitive but positive and disciplined team culture
- Communicate clearly with players regarding attendance, expectations, and development
- Provide feedback to improve individual and team performance
- Ensure a safe, organized, and professional training and match environment
- Coordinate with club leadership on scheduling and team needs
Experience & Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience (adult or competitive youth preferred)
- Strong understanding of soccer tactics, formations, and player development
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation required (travel across Northern NJ for matches)
- Ability to manage a diverse group of adult players in a competitive setting
- Experience in high-level playing or coaching environments strongly preferred
- Commitment to consistency, professionalism, and team growth
