Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and creativity in the kitchen, along with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in food preparation and production
- Oversee kitchen operations during service
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to the established quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance as needed
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies when necessary
- Monitor food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items
- Assist in catering events and special functions
Experience
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Experience in supervising kitchen staff is preferred
- Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
