This program is designed for rising juniors and seniors (students who will have completed at least two years of study by the start date) who are curious, motivated, and eager to explore what a career in Operations can look like.
About the Team
The Cigna Groups Investment Management (CIM) team manages assets exclusively for The Cigna Groups employee benefits and shareholder portfolios by leveraging expertise in public securities, private placements, commercial mortgages, equity real estate, capital markets products and alternative asset-class investing to deliver superior investment returns. The Investment Management group develops well-rounded investment professionals by offering assignments that expose individuals to a variety of disciplines and opportunities throughout our business segments.

Minimum Qualifications
- Progressing towards a bachelor’s program with at least 2 years completed.
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., student organizations, athletics, community involvement).
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to be to Bloomfield, CT for the 11-week internship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Majors in Business, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative related fields.
- 3.3 GPA.
- Strong interest in investment management or finance
- Positive, motivated, and growth-oriented mindset.
Additional Information
- Start Date: May 24, 2027
- Market Range: For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of $25-$28/hr depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
- Location: This position is based in Bloomfield, CT. The role requires a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days per week working We are in office M-W, with WFH on Thursday Friday. We do offer interns the ability to work in person all 5 days if they would like. Relocation assistance is not offered, and employees must be able to meet the onsite schedule for their assigned office location.
- Pre‑Employment Requirements: Selected candidates will be required to complete mandatory pre‑employment tasks approximately 45 days prior to the program start date. Completion of the drug test requires availability within the United States during this timeframe.
- Work Authorization: This position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B or CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.
- Timeline: The application window closes mid-October, or once all roles are filled. The recruitment process includes a recruiter phone screen and up to three interview rounds. All interviews will take place virtually over MS Teams video.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
