We’re looking for motivated, reliable, and safety-focused Tire & Automotive Technicians to join our growing team in Marysville, WA. Experienced Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine vehicle service, diagnose, and complete repairs on customer vehicles
- Inspect, diagnose, and identify work needed on various vehicles
- Perform adjustments, calibrations, and fluid replenishment
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components for repair or replacement
- Use independent judgment to troubleshoot and make repair decisions
- Communicate parts requirements via repair orders
- Follow approved service and repair procedures per manufacturer and Big O policies
- Comply with quality control and inspection standards
- Document work and hours accurately
- Road test vehicles to verify quality and issue resolution
- Collaborate closely with Service Advisors and support the service team
Qualifications: What We Are Looking For
Automotive Service Technician:
· Demonstrated hands-on experience with tire, brake, alignment, and suspension services-3yrs preferred
· Familiarity with alignment machines, brake lathes, and common repair equipment
· Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment
· Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions
· Ability to safely perform tire services, including installation, repair, and balancing
· Ability to perform oil changes and basic fluid maintenance
· Ability to independently manage repair jobs while maintaining high quality
· Effective communication skills and teamwork mindset / Excellent customer service skills and teamwork orientation
· Ability to independently manage repair jobs while maintaining high quality
· Up-to-date knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and technical advances
· Ability to estimate job times and communicate parts needs effectively
· Commitment to following manufacturer and Big O service standards
· Willingness to coach and mentor team members
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Experience
Experience at Big O Tires, Discount Tire, Les Schwab, Goodyear, Firestone, Midas, or other automotive service shops is a plus—but not required.
