Job Summary
Creative Academy in Countryside, IL, is seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers
- Foster a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing personalized support to meet their unique needs
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians about their child's daily experiences and developmental milestones
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and health guidelines
- Manage classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions smoothly and efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and best practices
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early education strategies
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or nannying settings—especially with toddlers—preferred
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety in emergency situations
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques
- Compassionate caregiving skills with experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Classroom management expertise to create an organized, stimulating learning environment
- Knowledge of infant care routines such as feeding, diapering, and nurturing touch techniques
- Familiarity with early childhood education curricula and developmental milestones
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a lively and positive atmosphere
