Social Media Manager – Children's Art Studio

About Us
Crazy for Colors is a creative residential art studio dedicated to inspiring young artists from ages 4 to 17. We offer classes in drawing, painting, mixed media, digital art, portfolio development, and AP Art & Design in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment. We are looking for a creative Social Media Manager to grow our online presence, showcase our students' artwork, and help connect families with our programs.
Position Overview
We are seeking an organized, creative, and enthusiastic Social Media Manager to oversee the studio's digital presence across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate has experience creating engaging content, managing social media accounts, and building an online community while maintaining a professional and family-friendly brand.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the studio's social media strategy across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms.
- Create engaging photo, video, and graphic content showcasing student artwork, classes, events, camps, and workshops.
- Capture photos and videos during classes while ensuring appropriate media permissions are followed.
- Write compelling captions, reels, stories, and promotional posts.
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule using a content calendar.
- Design promotional graphics for upcoming classes, seasonal camps, exhibitions, and special events.
- Respond to messages, comments, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor social media trends and recommend new content ideas.
- Collaborate with instructors to highlight student achievements and classroom experiences.
- Track social media performance and provide monthly reports on engagement, reach, and growth.
- Assist with email newsletters and other digital marketing campaigns as needed.
- Help promote student exhibitions, competitions, and community events.
Qualifications
- Experience managing business social media accounts.
- Strong photography and videography skills.
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar design and editing tools.
- Knowledge of Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
- Excellent written communication and storytelling skills.
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the studio team.
- Experience working with educational organizations, children's programs, or creative businesses is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Basic graphic design experience.
- Basic video editing and motion graphics.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite and social media analytics.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
- Understanding of branding and digital marketing strategies.
Schedule
- Flexible part-time hours.
- Some evenings and weekends required for special events, camps, and exhibitions.
- Approximately 8–20 hours per week, depending on studio needs.
