Waukesha manufacturing company is seeking a Night Shift Plastic Extrusion Operator to join its team. This role requires prior machine operating experience , strong mechanical ability, solid troubleshooting skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members. You will begin training on 1st shift, Monday-Thursday, from 5:00am to 5:30pm for 2 months. After training is complete, you will move to your regular night shift schedule of Monday-Thursday, 5:00pm-5:30am. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong machine setup and operating experience who is looking for a stable position with long hours and consistent work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and stage the correct raw materials and supplies needed for each production run
- Set up tooling and make machine adjustments according to extrusion or expansion process requirements
- Prepare, start, and operate extrusion and auxiliary equipment safely and efficiently
- Run production lines to meet quality standards, product specifications, and output goals
- Monitor production throughout the shift and make process adjustments as needed
- Measure, inspect, and verify finished product to ensure it meets required specifications
- Identify quality issues, equipment problems, or production variances and troubleshoot the root cause
- Support a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following company procedures
- Ability to operate a forklift
