What You'll Do
-
Reviews, monitors, and reports on the performance of a portfolio of multifamily assets against budget and investment proforma by analyzing monthly financial statements, leasing reports, market data, and various operating reports.

Researches variances.

Prepares reports for investment principals, debt and equity partners.

Monitors investment performance and returns. Forecasts asset performance relative to debt/equity hurdles as wellas underwritten return parameters.

Gathers, compiles, and analyzes market, economic and capital trends as well as other factors impacting portfolioand asset performance.

Reviews and monitors the progress of capital projects to determine if projects are occurring on-time and on-budget. Analyze ROI, including rent premiums attained from capital initiatives.

Analyzes effectiveness of revenue-enhancing and expense-containing initiatives at the property and portfoliolevels.

Completes various other ad hoc analysis related to operational and financial metrics as assigned.

Identifies opportunities and areas for improvement and offers suggestions and as appropriate implementsprocedures, processes, or tools the improve efficiency and productivity.

Interns are not required to work in an office environment, this is a remote internship program.

Performs all other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Requirements:
What You'll Need

Demonstrates ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to prepare and explain financial data to business leaders and managers, team members, clients, investors, executives, and other business contacts.

Demonstrates moderate level of proficiency in Excel.

Ideal candidate will have experience in the multifamily real estate industry and basic understanding of property-level operations, marketing, and asset management.

Education and/or employment history that demonstrates a financial background sufficient to analyze financial data and prepare reports in accordance with accounting, finance, budgeting and cost control principles.

Students working toward a college degree in real estate, finance or business are preferred.
