Position Summary
The Escrow Specialist is responsible for handling real estate transactions by establishing new escrow accounts, managing funds, processing documents for closings, and completing settlements in accordance with established policies and procedures. Acts as a neutral liaison between file parties, adheres to company policy, and monitors and mitigates risk to the company.
This position will always project a positive and friendly image for the credit union through interactions with members and co-workers. This position can work out of our Marshfield or Stevens Point branch.

Payout insurance bills, Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI), and property taxes for mortgage loans with escrow.

Work with tax servicing agencies and insurance agents for accuracy and escrow payouts.

Review escrow analysis for accuracy prior to being mailed to members as well as having the ability to answer any member questions.

Issue escrow surplus checks.

Responsible for maintaining and updating all escrow related information within the core software system, including but not limited to escrow transfers, escrow analyses, and year to date (YTD) information, as well as other escrow maintenance, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date

Responsible for conducting the appropriate research required by each request to make necessary updates and identify property tax delinquencies, primarily for non-escrowed loans.

Acts as a neutral liaison between file parties, adheres to company policy, and monitors and mitigates risk to the company.

- High school education or GED and three to five years of similar or related experience.

A high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations, even under pressure.

- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.

Service-oriented; a team player.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of mortgage loan products and procedures.

Compensation:
Starting base pay of $20.49 per hour based on experience, with earning potential of up to $30.74 per hour.
- The final offer will be based on experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.
This position is also eligible for a yearly company performance bonus payout.
