Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a Christ-centered learning atmosphere that fosters spiritual growth, academic success, and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans based on the Experience Curriculum or other approved teaching frameworks.
- Integrate biblical principles and values into daily instruction and interactions with students.
- Foster a safe, loving, and structured classroom environment where children feel encouraged to explore, grow, and express themselves.
- Lead engaging activities that promote early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional learning.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records, providing feedback to parents and administration of child growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with all childcare licensing regulations and health/safety standards.
- Encourage students in their faith journey by leading prayers, Bible lessons, and worship activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure each child receives individualized care and support.
- Uphold Expansion Academy’s mission and vision in all interactions and educational practices.
Classroom Ratios
- PreK 1- 1 Teacher; 1 Assistant; 7 Children
- PreK2- 1 Teacher; 1 Assistant; 7 Children
- PreK3- 1 Teacher; 1 Assistant; 11 Children
- PreK4- 1 Teacher; 1 Assistant; 18 Children
Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and learning methodologies.
- Ability to integrate faith-based instruction into lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passionate about working with children and fostering their spiritual and academic growth.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Bilingual (Not Required)
