Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, and mechanical components to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical equipment repair.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and plumbing repairs to address facility needs promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain HVAC systems through repair, servicing, and system upgrades to ensure climate control comfort throughout the hotel.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive maintenance tasks.
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed on time.
- Lead or support team members in tasks such as building interior maintenance, facilities equipment upkeep, and general repair operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance status or safety concerns to promote a secure environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance including HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance and repair, electrical work, and carpentry.
- Proficiency with schematics, technical diagrams, hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment repair, welding techniques, and manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) practices along with experience in building interior maintenance and residential painting.
- Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks effectively within a diverse team environment.
- Supervising experience is preferred for leadership roles involving team coordination or project oversight.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for managing work orders and maintenance schedules is advantageous.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation to address guest needs promptly while maintaining high standards of safety and quality standards.
