Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position responsible for ensuring our hotel is safe, functional, and well-maintained while providing an excellent experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance throughout the property
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building issues
- Install new appliances, HVAC components, and mechanical systems following safety protocols and manufacturer specifications.
- Complete guest room repairs, including painting, drywall repair, and fixture replacement
- Maintain the hotel's exterior, parking lot, landscaping, and walkways
- Perform seasonal maintenance, including snow removal and ice control when needed
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently
- Work closely with housekeeping and front desk to address maintenance concerns
- Document all maintenance activities thoroughly in logs to maintain accurate records for compliance and future reference.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, apartment maintenance, or a similar field
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and carpentry
- Hands-on experience with appliance installation, equipment repair, HVAC systems including air conditioning units, and refrigeration technology.
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures related to mechanical systems repair and construction environments.
- Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and work independently or as part of a team to resolve complex issues swiftly.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces as needed.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Willing to come in during times of emergency
