Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to process, route, and track arrest warrants for the County. Employees in this classification perform clerical and technical work. Position is responsible for receiving and processing warrants; entering various data into the computer system including NCIC/VCIN; creating and entering police and other associated reports; and answering the telephone.
High School Diploma or equivalent; supplemented by one (1) to two (2) years pf previous experience and/or training involving data entry, computer skills, clerical and record keeping skills; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must possess and maintains certification in the use of the Virginia Criminal Information Network.
Must pass background check and polygraph examination.
Must be able to type 40 words per minute

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be physically able to operate a variety of office machines, tools and equipment, such as a computer, printer, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, or telephone. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width, and shape, visually with job-related equipment. Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes in using automated office equipment. Requires the ability to handle a variety of items, office equipment, control knobs, switches, etc. Must have the ability to use one hand for twisting or turning motion while coordinating other hand with different activities. Must have moderate levels of eye/hand/foot coordination. May require the ability to differentiate colors and shades of color. Requires the ability to talk and/or hear (talking - expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words; hearing - perceiving nature of sounds by ear).
