Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications,
- Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment, drug storage, and expiration tracking, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
- Perform data entry into pharmacy software systems accurately to process prescriptions, update patient records, and document medication administration details.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, verifying prescriptions, and supporting medication intake processes while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and medical terminology standards during all pharmacy operations.
Qualifications
- Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes for efficient medication management.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality while adhering to state healthcare regulations and pharmacy laws.
