Overview
You must be over 18. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Swing Shift Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to our 4 residents in need of personal care, companionship, and daily living support. This vital role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. As a Caregiver, you will work closely with clients to promote their well-being, independence, and comfort in a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using tools such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> if applicable
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately and promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Administer medication following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces
- Support residents in engaging with social activities or community outings to promote mental stimulation and socialization
- Follow established care plans and document all care provided, including patient observations and progress notes
Skills
- Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings with a focus on senior or disability care
- Knowledge of First Aid and CPR certification to respond effectively in emergencies
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorder, or memory care needs
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and recognize signs of distress or deterioration in health status
- Skilled in assisting with mobility using Hoyer lifts or other transfer equipment safely
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with clients, families, healthcare teams, social workers, and other caregivers
