SpongeBuddy Mobile Detail is a fast-growing mobile detailing and fleet washing company serving commercial fleets, dealerships, municipalities, and residential customers throughout North Carolina. We're looking for a hands-on Operations Manager who can lead our field teams, improve daily operations, and help scale the business.
Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, supervising technicians, ensuring quality standards, maintaining equipment readiness, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. This position requires a leader who can solve problems, coach employees, and keep operations running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily scheduling and dispatch of field technicians.
- Lead morning team meetings and assign work.
- Supervise multiple crews and ensure jobs are completed on time.
- Conduct quality control inspections and job site visits.
- Train, coach, and mentor technicians.
- Address employee performance concerns and document coaching.
- Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Ensure company vehicles, trailers, and equipment are clean, stocked, and properly maintained.
- Monitor inventory of chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance for fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and operating procedures.
- Review completed work orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Track operational performance and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing employees or field service teams.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when needed.
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred:
- Mobile detailing
- Fleet washing
- Commercial cleaning
- Landscaping
- HVAC
- Pest control
- Pressure washing
- Construction
- Transportation or logistics
