Position Summary
The Sewer (Sewing Machine Operator) is responsible for manufacturing fall protection equipment by operating industrial sewing machines to sew webbing, hardware, and components into finished products and sub-assemblies. This position performs precise sewing operations using established stitch patterns, maintains quality and productivity standards, and ensures all products are manufactured in accordance with company specifications and safety requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate industrial sewing machines to sew harnesses, lanyards, belts, ropes, bags, and other fall protection products.
Follow work orders, bills of materials, patterns, and product specifications to produce products correctly.
Perform sewing operations involving webbing, hardware, labels, and various textile materials.
Inspect materials, stitch quality, and completed products to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Maintain production rates while ensuring workmanship meets company quality standards.
Accurately document production output and work order completion.
Identify and report material shortages, quality issues, or equipment concerns.
Maintain an organized and safe work area and properly care for sewing equipment.
Assist in cross-training and support production priorities as needed.
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
