Starting Pay: $14/hour | Higher Pay Available for CNAs
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st & 2nd Shift

JAG Healthcare Columbus is a 99-bed skilled nursing facility specializing in the care of residents with cognitive deficits and behavioral health needs. Activities Assistant Responsibilities
(include but are not limited to):
- Assist with planning and implementing activities that encourage resident engagement, socialization, and personal enjoyment
- Prepare supplies and materials needed for daily activities and programs
- Lead individual and group activities based on resident interests, needs, and abilities
- Encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities while respecting personal preferences
- Assist residents to and from scheduled activities safely
- Maintain attendance records and accurately document resident participation
- Assist residents with personal item inventory and spending needs as assigned
- Positively interact with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers
Skills & Qualifications
- Positive, energetic, and compassionate attitude
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team member
- Creative, organized, and self-motivated
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Patience and compassion when working with individuals who have cognitive, behavioral, physical, or emotional needs
- Previous experience working with seniors, activities, recreation therapy, healthcare, or behavioral health populations preferred but not required
- STNA certification preferred (higher pay available for STNAs)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
