Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team at Fish Tale Sales & Service. In this Full-Time role, you will manage accounts payable processes, ensure accurate financial transactions, and support the dealership’s financial operations. Your expertise will play a key role in maintaining our operational efficiency and upholding our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and timely payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of invoices, payments, and financial documents.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Provide insights on accounts payable processes to improve efficiency, as needed.
- Reconciling credit card statements and matching charges to receipts.
- Ability to navigate vendor portals to retrieve digital records.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an accounts payable clerk or in a similar bookkeeping/accounting role.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge preferred).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and team members.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is a plus.
Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
- Competitive compensation based on experience (details discussed during interview).
