Position Summary:
The Professional Shoe Shiner is responsible for delivering expert shoe care services to members and guests, ensuring footwear is maintained to the highest standards of presentation. This role also supports the overall cleanliness and operation of the men’s locker room, contributing to a polished and welcoming environment consistent with the Club’s reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert shoe shining services, including cleaning, conditioning, polishing, buffing, and minor touch-ups.
- Deliver personalized, attentive service while interacting with members in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain shoe care equipment, tools, and supplies in excellent condition.
- Ensure the shoe shining area is clean, organized, and inviting at all times.
- Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness and presentation of the men’s locker room, including restrooms, showers, and lounge areas.
- Support towel and laundry services, including collecting, washing, folding, and restocking.
- Replenish locker room amenities such as toiletries and supplies.
- Respond promptly to member requests and uphold the Club’s high service standards.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management.
Note: Duties may be adjusted as needed to support club operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in professional shoe shining or shoe care strongly preferred.
- Background in hospitality or high-end service environments is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
- Dependable, discreet, and team-oriented.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time position with a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
