Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide personalized care and support to clients in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have experience working in diverse healthcare settings, including Level II trauma centers, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and post-acute care environments. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by delivering high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and document client health status, reporting any changes or concerns promptly
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety and adherence to care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care across various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and sub-acute facilities
- Support clients with rehabilitation exercises or therapies as directed by medical teams
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, adhering to infection control protocols
- Educate family members on caregiving techniques and health management strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience in healthcare environments such as Level I Trauma Centers, Geriatrics, Medical-Surgical units, PICU, OR experience, or Post-Acute Care settings
- Knowledge of hospital medicine, emergency medicine, outpatient clinics, and sub-acute care practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care
- Ability to work independently within a home setting while maintaining professional standards
- Certification in CPR/First Aid preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications prior to employment is required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for travel between client homes if applicable
- Must be able to pass background checks and meet all health screening requirements necessary for caregiving roles
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
