Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support across various practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, family law, litigation, and more. This role involves legal research, document management, case preparation, and administrative support to ensure efficient case handling and compliance with legal standards. The Paralegal will play a vital role in assisting attorneys with client interviews, legal drafting, and case management while maintaining high levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case development.
- Assist with document review, drafting legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw; ensure accurate filing and data entry.
- Support litigation processes including discovery, deposition preparation, and trial documentation.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating client interviews.
- Review legal documents for accuracy and completeness; proofread and transcribe legal materials as needed.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines.
- Support attorneys in estate planning, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, securities law, immigration law, family law, UCC law, and other practice areas.
- Provide executive administrative support including phone etiquette and organizational assistance to attorneys and staff.
Experience
- Prior paralegal experience in a fast-paced law office environment is required.
- Familiarity with legal administrative experience including document management systems (iManage), case management software (PCLaw), Westlaw, LexisNexis.
- Strong research skills across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, litigation, family law, intellectual property (patent law), securities law, tribal law & regulations.
- Experience with legal drafting, proofreading, transcription of legal documents, and contract review.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in data entry and filing procedures within a professional legal setting.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
