Bone-A-Patreat is seeking an experienced pet groomer for our West Des Moines store. The ideal candidate:
- has 5+ years experience grooming dogs (cat experience a plus but not required)
- has a faithful following of clients
- values pet safety over speed

In this energetic role, you'll provide top-notch grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of a diverse range of pets. Your skills in animal handling, pet care, and customer service will ensure every pet leaves looking and feeling their best. We are seeking a motivated professional who thrives in a lively environment and is dedicated to delivering exceptional care with enthusiasm and precision.
Make 50-55% commission (plus tips) on ALL services (including nail trims, bathes). We also support you with someone to answer the phone and book your appointments.

Grooming requirements:
- 5yrs + experience (or able to demonstrate quality of grooms)
- able to groom and bathe independently
- must have own shears, clippers and hand tools (purchasing assistance available)
- have own references/be familiar with most common breed cuts and pet styles-- pictures are worth 1000 words!
You should be:
- knowledgeable on basic canine behavior and anatomy (feline also helpful but not mandatory)
- able to communicate effectively and concisely with customers and co-workers
- able to maintain a professional demeanor in all situations
- able to stand for long periods, able to lift 50+ lbs.
