Quality Technician (Manufacturing – Hands-On)

Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for daily quality activities on the shop floor, mass spectrometry testing, document control, and support of our ISO 9000 quality management system. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of manufacturing quality experience and works well alongside production, engineering, and management.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections in a manufacturing environment
- Conduct mass spectrometry testing and accurately document results
- Support and maintain compliance with ISO 9000 / ISO 9001 standards
- Maintain and control quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, forms, and records
- Ensure proper document revision control and distribution throughout the shop floor
- Assist with internal audits, corrective actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement activities
- Work directly with production to identify, document, and resolve quality issues
- Assist with nonconforming material reports (NCMRs) and root cause investigations
- Maintain inspection, testing, and quality records per company and customer requirements
- Support calibration tracking and equipment verification as needed
- Follow all safety, quality, and company policies
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience as a Quality Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of ISO 9000 / ISO 9001
- Experience with mass spectrometry testing
- Experience with document control and quality record management
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working on the shop floor in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience working closely with production teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing floor for extended periods
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
