Machine Operator (Experienced)
Location: Hewitt, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Multiple shifts available
Pay: $20.00-$22.00/hr + shift differentials
Crouch Staffing Solutions is seeking experienced Machine Operators for a manufacturing facility in Hewitt, Texas. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining metal fabrication equipment used to produce steel components according to production specifications.
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM
- Some weekend work may be required depending on production needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate metal fabrication equipment, including plasma burn tables, plasma cutters, saws, press brakes, drills, CNC machines, and other metal-cutting machinery.
- Set up machinery according to production specifications.
- Load raw materials and ensure materials are properly aligned.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Monitor equipment and production processes to maintain efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
- Use calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and report mechanical or safety concerns.
- Document production output, material usage, and equipment performance.
- Follow all safety procedures and properly wear required personal protective equipment.
- Work closely with other production employees to meet daily and weekly production goals.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience operating metal fabrication machinery in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges.
- CNC machine experience, including basic programming or adjustments, is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to understand safety guidelines and work instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the shift.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, varying temperatures, and other common industrial conditions.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to operate machinery safely.
