Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Lounge/Bar Manager to lead our staff and post. In this role, you will oversee daily operations of the lounge and bar area, ensuring exceptional customer service, providing beverage delivery, and a lively atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. This is for Veterans and guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily bar and lounge operations, beverage service, and customer interactions
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
- Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, alcohol regulations, and health department guidelines
- Handle shift management duties including scheduling staff, overseeing service flow, and resolving guest concerns promptly
- Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, and training sessions to foster continuous improvement
- Maintain a lively yet safe environment by enforcing responsible alcohol service policies and managing crowd flow
- Participate in events promoted for Veterans.
Experience
- Background in bar operations including cocktail preparation, food handling, and serving in a hospitality setting. Stocking and ordering all the bars needs. Decorating for events and posting on social media.
- Familiarity with POS system Clover POS for transaction processing and reporting
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing bar staff and creating their shift schedules.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices along with experience in inventory control and budget management.
Our bar staff is experienced and does not need constant supervision. Some of the work can be done off site.
