Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling opportunities to maximize sales potential
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing through effective merchandising
- Conduct product knowledge sharing to educate customers about store offerings and promotions
- Handle cashier duties with accuracy, including processing returns, exchanges, and managing retail math calculations
- Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors and respond promptly to inquiries
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred, especially with POS systems and cashiering duties
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to assist in team coordination when needed
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and stock management practices
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail transactions
- Familiarity with retail math concepts such as discounts, totals, and change calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Experience with grocery store operations or similar fast-paced environments is advantageous
