The Greens at Gastonia is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

- Assist with the daily maintenance and upkeep of the facility and grounds.
- Complete routine work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Help maintain HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
- Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and special projects as needed.
- Support emergency maintenance needs and participate in the on-call rotation, if applicable.
- Follow all safety regulations, infection control standards, and company policies.
- Previous maintenance experience preferred.
- Skilled nursing, healthcare, apartment, hotel, or commercial maintenance experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
